LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Grammy-nominated artist Post Malone is venturing into the world of comics with his new graphic novel, *Big Rig*, a collaboration with Vault Comics and Michael Bay‘s Platinum Dunes. Described as “Evil Dead meets Mad Max: Fury Road in medieval Europe,” the project is already being developed into a feature film.

Set during the Dark Ages, *Big Rig* follows the Six Petals, a secret sect of the Knights Templar, as they battle demon hordes invading Europe. Their salvation comes in the form of a massive tractor trailer, The Rig, which crashes to Earth. The story centers on an excommunicated priest, known as Trucker, who takes the wheel of the demon-slaying machine to lead the fight against Hell.

The first chapter of *Big Rig* will be released exclusively at comic shops participating in Free Comic Book Day on May 3, 2025. The full graphic novel, co-written by Malone and Vault Comics Editor-in-Chief Adrian Wassel, with illustrations by Nathan Gooden (*Barbaric*), is set for release later in the year.

“This is going to kick ass,” Malone said in a statement. “It’s amazing working with Vault and Michael Bay. Turning this idea into what we have has been unbelievable. The team has been crushing it, and I can’t believe we get to be a part of Free Comic Book Day.”

Vault Comics has a history of collaborating with musicians, including Metallica, Def Leppard, and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz. Platinum Dunes, known for producing horror remakes like *The Texas Chainsaw Massacre* and *A Nightmare on Elm Street*, as well as hits like *A Quiet Place* and *The Purge*, is overseeing the film adaptation.

Nathan Gooden’s previous work on *Barbaric* has garnered critical acclaim, raising expectations for *Big Rig*. The graphic novel’s blend of medieval horror and high-octane action has the potential to become a breakout indie hit in 2025.

Fans eager for a preview can pick up the Free Comic Book Day issue on May 3, offering a glimpse into the world of *Big Rig* before its full release later in the year.
