Producer Chitti Babu Criticizes Actress Poonam Kaur Over Allegations Against Director
Film producer Chitti Babu has expressed criticism towards actress Poonam Kaur, accusing her of using social media to gain publicity rather than seeking justice through formal legal channels. In recent remarks, Babu suggested that Kaur’s allegations against renowned director Trivikram were unfounded, as she has not taken any official action beyond her activity on social media.
During an interview, Chitti Babu remarked, “Poonam Kaur has not filed any formal complaint but continues to post excessively on Twitter,” questioning her choice of platform for addressing her grievances. He mentioned the existence of a committee within the film chamber designed to handle such complaints and queried why she had not approached it.
In response to these comments, Poonam Kaur stated that individuals like Chitti Babu attempt to divert attention from the core issues with such statements. She retorted, “You don’t question Trivikram. You can’t. I am not a coward like you,” asserting that instead of directing criticism towards her, industry stakeholders should engage Trivikram directly on the matter.
Kaur has been vocal on social media about her grievances, which have become a point of contention and discussion within Tollywood. She has a history of sharing her perspectives on various issues, as seen with her supportive posts about political figures such as the late Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and his son, the current Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Having started her career in the Telugu film industry with the 2006 film “Oka Vichitram,” Poonam Kaur has appeared in various regional films, gaining recognition for her roles in movies like “Maya Bazar,” “Shauryam,” “Vinayakudu,” and “Nayaki.” Despite her success, Kaur has recently been more prominent in the news for her outspoken presence on social media rather than her acting projects.
