Quincy Williams Shines After Brother’s Trade, DeMario Douglas Embraces Trust
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams is looking to reclaim his starting position after a strong performance against the Cleveland Browns, where he recorded a sack. This resurgence comes shortly after his brother, a member of the Jets, was traded to the Dallas Cowboys.
Williams expressed his feelings about the situation, stating, “It wasn’t planned. When I got the sack, the first thing that came to my mind was ‘dang, I want to celebrate with my brother.’” His eagerness to celebrate highlights his close bond with his sibling, even amid the challenges of NFL trades.
Meanwhile, New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas has adopted a “trust the process” mentality as the season progresses. He expressed confidence in his approach, saying, “Now, I can really preach it. Trust the process. Everything’s going to play out right.”
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has praised Douglas for his commitment to the team and infectious attitude in the locker room. “The same positive attitude every day, same workman-like attitude, infectious energy that everybody loves being around him,” Vrabel said. He emphasized Douglas’s readiness for any opportunity, regardless of how the game unfolds.
Douglas has also emerged as a valuable vertical threat for quarterback Drake. Vrabel noted, “Anytime you can get a player in the slot that can work vertical, can track the ball, I think Drake looks for him when he extends down the field. He’s been reliable. He’s created separation.”
