Rachel Platten Joins Kenneth Cole to Promote Mental Health Awareness

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Eye Fashion Business has launched the second installment of the spring 2025 “Purposeful Voices” series, partnering with Emmy-award winning artist Rachel Platten. This collaboration aims to raise awareness for mental health resources during Mental Health Awareness Month in May.
The campaign features a music video set to be released on Thursday, showcasing a tender version of Platten’s song “Bad Thoughts” from her album “I am Rachel Platten.” This campaign follows an initial installment that introduced a cancer survivor who advocated for hope.
Platten has recently joined Kenneth Cole‘s nonprofit, The Mental Health Coalition, as an ambassador. “For over 40 years, we’ve used our voice to provoke thought and inspire conversation about important social issues,” said Kenneth Cole, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer at Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. “We’re grateful to partner with Rachel, who uses her voice to support and empower others.”
The campaign film illustrates Platten’s personal journey through mental health struggles. She selected “Bad Thoughts” to reflect her experiences with postpartum depression and anxiety. “I feel incredibly honored… to help remove the stigma around mental health,” Platten stated.
The partnership began during the Mental Health Coalition’s 2025 Wellbeing at Work Day on December 3, 2024, where Platten performed her hit song “Fight Song.” From May 1 to May 4, 100% of sales from “Rachel’s Picks” on KennethCole.com will support The Mental Health Coalition.
“Rachel’s Picks” can also be found in select retailers, including Macy’s and Nordstrom. The campaign continues to spotlight famous personalities advocating for mental health awareness.
