Corpus Christi Weather Rain Forecast

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Meteorologist Stefanie Lauber warns residents to prepare for rain Thursday afternoon, June 12.

Despite a dry morning, Lauber said rain is forecast to return later today. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the lower 90s, while humidity will make it feel as hot as the lower 100s.

As temperatures rise, Lauber predicts that scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop. She noted that rain could be heavy at times, stating, ‘The rain will come down in buckets.’ This could lead to runoff in local waterways, increasing the slight risk of flooding in some areas.

The rain is expected to taper off by sunset, with only isolated showers lingering into the Father’s Day weekend.

Today’s forecast includes partly cloudy skies and scattered showers. The high temperature will be around 92°F, with south winds blowing at 15 to 25 mph.

Tonight’s weather will bring cloudy skies, with a low of 78°F and the possibility of an isolated shower.

Friday’s forecast looks similar, with partly cloudy skies and a few showers expected. The high could reach 94°F, with south-southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph.

Enjoy the day and stay dry!
