Rasikh Dar Sold to Royal Challengers Bengaluru for ₹6 Crore in IPL 2025 Auction
Rasikh Dar, the uncapped Indian right-arm fast bowler, has been sold to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for ₹6 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah on November 24, 2024.
Dar, who represents Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket, had registered himself for the auction at a base price of ₹30 lakh. His impressive skills and potential triggered significant interest, leading to a substantial bid from RCB.
The auction saw intense bidding for several players, with RCB securing Dar after outbidding other franchises. This move is expected to bolster RCB’s bowling lineup for the upcoming IPL season.
The IPL 2025 auction features a total of 574 players selected from an original pool of 1,574 candidates, with 208 international players, 12 uncapped international prospects, and 318 uncapped Indian players up for grabs. The 10 franchises have a combined budget of around ₹641.5 crore to fill 204 available slots.
