Raymond‘s Chairman and Managing Director (MD) Gautam Singhania has extended an olive branch to his father, Vijaypat Singhania, following a tumultuous public spat surrounding his separation from Nawaz Modi. Taking to social media, Gautam Singhania welcomed his father home, expressing gratitude and well-wishes in a heartwarming Instagram post.

Gautam Singhania revealed that his father was at home with him, seeking blessings and affirming a renewed bond. The Instagram post signified a moment of reconciliation after the public turmoil and family disagreements unfolded in the spotlight.

Reportedly, Vijaypat Singhania had relinquished control of Raymond to Gautam in 2015, only to later express regret over that decision publicly. He lamented giving everything to his son and admitted to the consequential financial dependence he faced following the change in leadership.

In an exclusive interview with Business Today, Vijaypat Singhania divulged his sentiments about maintaining distance from Gautam Singhania due to the latter’s volatile reactions, indicating a strained relationship between father and son.

Vijaypat Singhania expressed his support for Nawaz Modi Singhania, Gautam’s estranged wife, in the ongoing divorce proceedings, stating his allegiance to her cause rather than his son’s. The family dynamics took a turn as Vijaypat voiced his position, distancing himself from his son’s decisions.

Raymond, under the leadership of Vijaypat Singhania, transformed into a global brand from its modest origins, shaping an unparalleled legacy in the textile industry. Despite the internal tumult, shares of Raymond reflected stability, settling higher at ₹1,731.80 apiece on March 20.
