CALEDON, Ont. — The field for the 2025 RBC Canadian Open has been finalized, with two-time champion Rory McIlroy and defending champion Robert MacIntyre leading a strong group of players. The tournament will take place from June 4 to 8 at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, marking the first time the venue hosts this prestigious event.

McIlroy, who is currently ranked world No. 2, aims to capture his third Canadian Open title. If successful, he would join legends Tommy Armour, Sam Snead, and Lee Trevino as three-time champions. The 156-player field also includes a notable contingent of 21 Canadian golfers.

The Canadian players are led by 2023 champion Nick Taylor, ranked No. 43 globally. Other notable names include Corey Conners of Listowel, ranked 20th, Taylor Pendrith, Mackenzie Hughes, Adam Hadwin, and Adam Svensson, all hoping to make their mark in front of a home crowd.

As excitement builds for the tournament, Tournament Director Ryan Paul expressed enthusiasm about the strong lineup. “To have one of the strongest fields since the start of the FedEx Cup era is pretty cool,” Paul said. The final four spots in the field will be determined at a qualifier on June 1 at The Pulpit Club in Caledon.

In addition to world-class golf, fans can enjoy the two-night SiriusXM Concert Series, featuring an all-Canadian lineup. Billy Talent and JJ Wilde will perform on June 6, while Sam Roberts Band and Ruby Waters are set for June 7. With a total purse of $9.8 million at stake and exciting musical entertainment, the 2025 RBC Canadian Open promises to be a highlight of the sports calendar.

Each player will compete not only for the championship but also for the opportunity to qualify for the 153rd British Open, with the top three non-exempt players making the cut earning a spot.
