Real Madrid Women's Team Prepares For Tough Match Against Athletic Club In Liga F

Real Madrid Women’s team is set to face a challenging match against Athletic Club in the upcoming Liga F fixture. Following their recent game in London, Real Madrid traveled to Bilbao to take on Athletic Club, currently placed 8th on the league table.

In the standings, Real Madrid currently sits in the third position, level on points with Levante but behind them due to a lower goal difference. It’s worth noting that Real Madrid has a game in hand, as their matches were postponed until mid-February due to their participation in the Spanish Supercup.

Athletic Club, known as the Lionesses, have been enjoying a positive run of five unbeaten matches across all competitions. Despite a shaky start to their season, the team from Bizkaia has steadily climbed the ranks. They are especially known for being a formidable opponent on their home ground, Lezama.

David Aznar, the coach of Athletic Club, emphasized the team’s intention to be brave and assertive in front of their home crowd. He mentioned their aim to control the match and expressed confidence in their ability to challenge Real Madrid. He also acknowledged the difficulty top teams have encountered when playing against Athletic Club on their turf.

The highly anticipated clash between Real Madrid and Athletic Club is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th, with kickoff at 18:30 CET. Both teams have named their squad for the match:

Real Madrid goalkeepers include Misa and Chavas. The defense consists of K. Robles, Ivana, Olga, Oihane, Kathellen, and Svava. The midfielders selected are Teresa, Toletti, M. Oroz, Zornoza, and Freja Siri. In the forward line, Real Madrid will rely on Bruun, Raso, Møller, Linda C., Feller, and Athenea.

Notably, Toletti and Olga have returned to the squad after a brief absence due to mild injuries suffered during the Barcelona clash. Signe Bruun is also back in the squad following a two-month absence caused by a head injury.
