Red Sox Triston Casas Home Run Fenway Park

BOSTON, Massachusetts – The Boston Red Sox are looking for a turning point in Triston Casas‘ season after he hit a three-run homer on Tuesday night to beat the Seattle Mariners 8-3 at Fenway Park.

Casas entered the game hitting .158, with only one home run and four RBIs in his first 21 games. His struggles were particularly evident against starting pitchers, where he had just two hits in 46 at-bats.

Despite this, the Red Sox have won six of their last seven games and hope to clinch their third straight series with more wins. Starting pitcher Sean Newcomb is set to take the mound on Wednesday night.

The Mariners’ lineup includes talented players like Julio Rodríguez and Mitch Garver, while Boston features Jarren Duran and Rafael Devers. Newcomb has a 3.63 ERA this season, and he will aim to extend the Red Sox’s streak of solid pitching.

In the previous game, Brayan Bello debuted as the Red Sox starter after injury, throwing five innings and allowing only one run. Catcher Carlos Narváez praised Bello’s performance and emphasized the importance of trusting his pitches.

After a shaky start, Bello settled down, aided by Narváez’s guidance behind the plate. The Red Sox offense provided support with a strong performance, including Bregman’s RBI double and Casas’ notable home run in the seventh inning.

Bello is scheduled to pitch again on Sunday, while Boston remains hopeful about maintaining momentum in the upcoming games.
