Marjorie Taylor Greene The View Appearance

New York, NY — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a prominent Republican from Georgia, will make an appearance on the ABC daytime talk show ‘The View‘ next Tuesday. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg announced the news during Thursday’s broadcast, marking a significant moment for the show as it seeks to attract more conservative voices.

Goldberg expressed excitement about Greene’s upcoming appearance, especially after the show discussed Greene’s evolving position within the Republican Party. ‘I’m happy to say that she’s going to be here on Tuesday,’ Goldberg stated.

Greene confirmed her participation through an Instagram post, sharing the clip of Goldberg’s announcement. She commented, ‘I look forward to joining the ladies on The View on Tuesday!’

This booking is noteworthy given Greene’s history of confrontation with the show and its owners at Disney. She has previously referred to the co-hosts as ‘the angry, nasty women on The View’ and criticized Disney for its stance against Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ legislation.

The co-hosts of ‘The View’ have often critiqued Greene’s behavior and statements. In a previous episode, Alyssa Farah Griffin compared Greene’s attire at a State of the Union address to a fur-collared jacket, quipping, ‘It looked like she skinned my puppy.’

Greene’s appearance is also symbolic of her shift into a more independent conservative role, particularly regarding Republican leadership and their strategy over government shutdowns. Earlier this month, ‘The View’ even referred to Greene as ‘the surprising voice of reason’ in the ongoing GOP shutdown discussions.

As Greene prepares for her appearance on ‘The View,’ she is also set to guest on Bill Maher’s HBO talk show this Friday. Both networks share corporate ownership under Warner Bros. Discovery.

Co-host Ana Navarro suggested inviting Greene to the show and noted the context of her comments in the ongoing GOP narrative. ‘Frankly, we should invite her on,’ Navarro said, illustrating the show’s willingness to engage with complex political figures.
