Repsol Renews PSV Charter with Golden Energy Offshore Services
Norwegian energy giant Repsol Norge has decided to extend its contract with Golden Energy Offshore Services, a prominent vessel owner and operator. The platform supply vessel (PSV) at the center of this extension is the Energy Swan, a vessel known for its versatility and reliability in offshore operations.
The extension, spanning two months, marks a significant continuation of the existing agreement established in 2023. Initially chartered for a firm period of two months with optional two plus two months, this extension solidifies a total of four months under the Repsol Norge charter.
Golden Energy Offshore Services, in announcing this extension, shared that the large-size PSV Energy Swan will be fully committed to Repsol Norge until the end of April 2024, after which it will become available for new charters. The vessel, built in 2005, boasts a spacious design and can accommodate up to 28 personnel on board.
This engagement with Repsol Norge comes as Golden Energy Offshore Services recently finalized agreements to acquire several PSVs and a safety and standby vessel from subsidiaries of the reputable Vroon Holding based in the Netherlands. This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its fleet and enhancing its offshore support capabilities.
Following this extension with Repsol Norge, Golden Energy Offshore Services continues to solidify its presence in the North Sea region, where its vessels play a crucial role in supporting various offshore activities across the sector. The partnership with Repsol Norge further cements the company’s position as a key player in the offshore services industry.
