Republic Day 2024 Celebrated with Pomp and Patriotic Spirit
India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The occasion is graced by the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron as the chief guest. President Droupadi Murmu will hoist the national flag at Kartavya Path, marking the start of the celebrations.

The theme of this year’s Republic Day is ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Loktatantra ki Matruka’, highlighting the progress and democratic spirit of the nation. The grand parade will commence at Vijay Chowk and proceed towards Kartavya Path, passing through Rashtrapati Bhawan and Rajpath.

The Republic Day celebrations witness a massive gathering of approximately 77,000 people, with a significant portion reserved for the general public. The event showcases the rich cultural heritage of India through various tableaus, dance performances, and patriotic songs.

One of the key attractions this year is the participation of women personnel from the Central Armed Police Force, including the CRPF, BSF, and SSB, who will showcase their bravery and valour through motorcycle stunts. The tableau of Ayodhya symbolizes the historic significance of the city and showcases the Pranpratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla.

Chhattisgarh‘s tableau depicts the ancient tribal tradition of community decision-making in the Bastar region, while Tamil Nadu‘s tableau highlights the Kudavolai electoral system, an early stride towards democracy during the Chola era.

Other states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Manipur also have their unique tableaus portraying the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and achievements of their respective regions.

The event also features the BSF Camel Contingent, the women contingent of the Border Security Force, and the Armed Forces Medical Services, all showcasing the strength and dedication of Indian Armed Forces.
