Rising Star Navajo Stirling Looks to Impress in UFC Fight

Auckland, New Zealand – Navajo Stirling, a rising contender in the UFC light heavyweight division, is ready to show what he can do as he prepares for his upcoming fight. The 27-year-old fighter is focused and confident after training at City Kickboxing, where he has learned from some of the sport’s best.
Stirling spoke about the impact that training with top fighters like Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski has had on his career. “Being surrounded by a team that has been to the highest heights of the sport, I know exactly what’s to come,” Stirling said. He feels prepared for the challenges of the sport, including aiming for a title and defending it.
Despite having only six professional fights under his belt, Stirling believes he possesses exceptional skills and personality that will shine in the light heavyweight division. He impressed viewers last September with a knockout victory over Phillip Latu on Dana White’s Contender Series, earning his UFC contract.
In his debut fight in December, Stirling secured a unanimous decision against Tuco Tokkos. He expressed pride in the experience he gained from the full 15 minutes in the Octagon. “I want to show fans more of my abilities,” Stirling noted.
Stirling will face Croatia’s Ivan Erslan in his next fight, also a contender making his second UFC appearance. Erslan holds a record of 14-4, with many of his wins coming by knockout. Stirling is confident and ready to take on the challenge. “While he has experience, I feel my style can break guys down,” he said.
Fans can expect an exciting matchup on May 10, 2025, as Stirling aims to deliver a powerful performance at Bell Centre in Montréal, Québec.
