Russo Brothers Honored Ahead of Netflix Premiere Tonight

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ahead of tonight’s Netflix premiere of their latest film, The Electric State, directors Anthony and Joe Russo were honored with a handprint and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre this weekend. This celebration comes during a busy period for the duo, who have amassed over $7 billion in global box office revenue, making them the third highest-grossing directors in history.
The Russos’ upcoming work is not limited to film. This fall, they will launch the second season of the spy series Citadel. Additionally, they are set to begin production in April on two more sequels for Marvel and Disney.
Attendees at the ceremony included star Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Marvel executives Kevin Feige and Louis D'Esposito. Screenwriters Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely, along with other AGBO team members, were also present to show support.
“The very nature of my brother’s and my relationship is collaboration,” Joe Russo shared during the ceremony. “And we know that this moment is as much your moment as it is our moment. Because no story gets told without the help of dozens of dedicated, passionate partners working hand in hand, building a story together, brick by brick.”
This weekend’s event is a testament to the Russo brothers’ remarkable impact on the film industry as they continue to innovate and collaborate with a diverse group of talent.
