Several Schools In Reading Close Due To Water Supply Issues

Several schools in Reading have been forced to close today due to ongoing issues with the water supply. Since Saturday, areas in Reading have been left without water, and the situation has not been resolved.

One of the affected schools is UTC Reading, which has made the decision to send its pupils home as of 11am today. KS4 children will need parental permission before being sent home. The school is hopeful that it can reopen by 7:00am tomorrow, and updates will be provided to parents.

Another school impacted by the water supply issue is Reading College, which has canceled all lessons for the day. However, exams are still scheduled to continue as planned.

Maiden Erlegh Reading is also closed today due to the problem with the water supply, which has been attributed to Thames Water.

Parents and students are advised to stay updated through the school’s official channels for any further announcements.
