Sam Darnold And Cooper Kupp

Seattle, WA – The Seattle Seahawks made significant moves this offseason with two impactful trades, altering their roster dynamics. The team traded their starting quarterback, paving the way for new additions aimed at strengthening the squad.

In a bid to fill the gaps left by the trades, the Seahawks signed top quarterback Sam Darnold and former receiving champion Cooper Kupp. These acquisitions are considered critical as the team attempts to boost its offensive capabilities.

The arrival of wide receiver DK Metcalf in Pittsburgh has also stirred conversations about Seattle’s image in the league, prompting questions about further roster adjustments. Fan interest surged after Seattle’s recent moves, leading to inquiries with The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar.

Dugar identified two potential targets to watch in the upcoming weeks: Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson and Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander. “Two guys who fall into the ‘could target’ category are Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson and Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander,” Dugar noted.

However, Dugar expressed skepticism about the likelihood of these acquisitions, mentioning that Hendrickson may demand a substantial raise, while Alexander’s health issues complicate his potential fit with the team. Alexander’s salary exceeds that of Seattle’s top three cornerbacks combined, adding another layer of difficulty.

“We’ve learned to never say never with this staff, but these additions feel unlikely,” Dugar concluded.

Published two hours ago, this report highlights the ongoing evolution of the Seahawks’ lineup and explores potential future moves as they look to strengthen their roster.
