STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Season 50 of “Saturday Night Live” has come to a close after a memorable run filled with celebrity hosts and musical guests. The grand finale aired on May 17, 2025, featuring Scarlett Johansson as host and Bad Bunny as the musical guest.

In her opening monologue, Johansson playfully reminisced about her earlier appearances on the show, joking that her debut was just three years ago. The episode marked her seventh time hosting the iconic show. Bad Bunny performed his popular tracks, “NUEVAYoL” and “PERFuMITO NUEVO” during the finale.

Colin Jost and Michael Che wrapped up their 11th season together on the Weekend Update segment with their annual joke swap. Despite Johansson’s emotional farewell to cast member Sarah Sherman, no official departures have been confirmed.

Season 50 saw an impressive list of guest stars, including Jean Smart, Walton Goggins, Jon Hamm, and Lady Gaga, among others. Musical acts included Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and Coldplay, showcasing the show’s continued popularity and cultural relevance.

Tonight, viewers can expect a re-broadcast of the March 1, 2025 episode featuring Shane Gillis as host and Tate McRae as musical guest at 11:30 p.m. ET. Although there won’t be new episodes until the end of summer, “SNL” will air reruns during its regular time slot.

As SNL takes its summer break, classic episodes are available for streaming on Peacock, offering fans plenty of old favorites to enjoy while they wait for the next season.
