A's Rockies Baseball Game Colorado

DENVER, Colorado — The Oakland Athletics aim to bounce back after a discouraging sweep by the Sacramento River Cats as they face the Colorado Rockies today at Coors Field. The game is set for a 1:20 PM Pacific time first pitch.

The A’s, currently struggling with a 1-5 record, hope to regain momentum against the Rockies, who themselves are reeling from a series loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. In a bid to stem the tide, the A’s will turn to right-handed pitcher Osvaldo Bido, who recorded a victory in his only start this season, lasting five innings with a performance that included one run on three hits and four walks, along with four strikeouts.

“I’m just focusing on executing my pitches and keeping the ball down,” Bido said after practice. “I know my team is counting on me, and I want to deliver.”

In contrast, the Rockies will counter with right-hander Ryan Feltner, who also has one start under his belt this season. Feltner delivered two earned runs over five innings in his previous outing, yielding four hits and one walk while striking out five batters.

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay is confident in his lineup, which will support Bido on the mound. “We need to regroup as a team,” Kotsay stated. “This is a great opportunity for us to turn things around on the road.”

On the Rockies’ side, manager Bud Black is hoping for a strong showing from his players, despite their recent struggles. “Every game counts, and we’re looking to capitalize on our chances to get back on track,” said Black.

Fans can follow today’s game on NBC Sports California, Talk 650 KSTE, A’s Cast, and KWNR 95.5 The Bull. As the season progresses, both teams aim to find their rhythm and build on their performances.
