Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch Team Up Again for WrestlePalooza
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently discussed the unique experience of working alongside his wife, Becky Lynch, who holds the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, as they prepare for a mixed tag team match at WrestlePalooza on September 20.
The couple has reunited on-screen for the first time since 2019, where they previously faced Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans. Their chemistry is now being highlighted as they go against the returning AJ Lee and CM Punk in a highly anticipated storyline.
During an interview on ESPN, Rollins shared his thoughts on collaborating with Lynch. “I think what it boils down to for me is iron sharpens iron. We met through this industry, we became friends, and then we found each other romantically. We’ve been able to really use each other as a resource,” he said.
He explained that their different preparation styles and performances allow them to learn from one another. “The way she preps is different than how I prep, and the way she performs… we get to bounce stuff off each other,” he added.
Rollins also praised Lynch’s accomplishments, dismissing claims that she is only “arguably” the greatest of all time. “She is the greatest,” he stated, highlighting her title wins and significant milestones in the ring, including headlining WrestleMania 35.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Roux, in 2020 and have balanced their demanding careers in wrestling with parenthood. Fans are eager to see them compete together at WrestlePalooza, adding another chapter to their legacy as one of WWE’s most influential couples.
As the event approaches, the anticipation continues to build around their match against Punk and Lee, with Rollins noting, “We understand the grind. We understand what it takes.” Their partnership, both in the ring and at home, showcases their resilience as top-tier athletes in the wrestling industry.
