Severance Season 2 Roku Channel Promotion

Apple TV+ is bringing its critically acclaimed series *Severance* to a wider audience through a groundbreaking partnership with Roku. The first season of the Adam Scott-led thriller will be available for free on the Roku Channel from January 9 to January 19, 2025, ahead of the highly anticipated Season 2 premiere on January 17. This marks the first time Apple TV+ content has been made available outside its ecosystem.

The collaboration, dubbed an “exclusive fan experience,” includes a preview of Season 2, behind-the-scenes content, and an offer for three free months of Apple TV+. Roku, with its 90 million users, is leveraging its platform to provide high-profile placement for the show, accessible directly from the Roku home screen.

Sweta Patel, VP of growth marketing & merchandising for Roku, said, “Partnering with Apple ahead of the highly anticipated *Severance* Season 2 and being able to create an exclusive fan experience that is available to millions of U.S. households is incredibly exciting for us.”

This move follows Apple’s recent efforts to expand its streaming service’s reach. Last weekend, Apple TV+ was made free for all users from January 3-5, 2025, and in late 2024, Apple partnered with Amazon to bring its content to Prime Video Channels.

Critics have already hailed *Severance* Season 2 as one of the best series of 2025, with early reviews praising its storytelling and performances. The show, which explores themes of corporate control and identity, has maintained its 100% critical score on Rotten Tomatoes, building on the success of its first season.

Season 2 will consist of ten episodes, airing weekly until late March. Writer Mohamad El Masi confirmed that the story has been “mapped out” in full, though the total number of seasons remains undisclosed. Apple TV+ has committed to allowing the show to run as long as needed to complete its narrative arc.
