Severe Storms to Affect Houston Commuters This Week

HOUSTON – Severe storms are set to dominate Houston‘s weather this week, following a line of storms that swept through early Tuesday morning, causing power outages and tree damage.
After a temporary calm, the KPRC 2 Weather Center predicts waves of storms will continue across Texas due to a stalled cold front just north of the city. Meteorologists expect a more active weather pattern, particularly during the afternoon commute on Wednesday.
“The atmosphere is reloading, and we are likely to see more rainfall throughout the day,” said Chief Meteorologist Anthony Yanez. “These storms could bring heavy downpours, strong winds, and plenty of lightning.”
This trend isn’t just limited to Wednesday. Commuters may face challenging conditions again on Thursday and Friday as the storms persist.
However, forecasts suggest an easing of storm activity by Friday, paving the way for a return to typical summer weather over the weekend.
