Silent Disco Returns to The Hague’s Historic Grote Kerk in 2025
THE HAGUE, Netherlands — On February 7, 2025, the historic Grote Kerk in The Hague will host the next edition of its popular silent disco event, offering a unique blend of music, history, and nightlife. From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., attendees will don wireless headphones and dance the night away in one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
The event, known as “God is a DJ,” allows participants to choose between three music channels, each featuring a distinct genre. Whether it’s disco classics, guilty pleasures, or high-energy dance beats, the silent disco format ensures a personalized experience for every attendee. Tickets are priced at 20 euros for the regular disco and 22.50 euros for the late disco.
The Grote Kerk, a centuries-old church with towering arches and intricate details, provides a stunning backdrop for the event. “It’s a unique blend of history and music,” said one attendee of the November 2024 edition, which drew over 700 guests. “Dancing in such an extraordinary setting is truly unforgettable.”
Organizers emphasize the event’s ability to bring people together in a historic venue. “How often can you say you’ve danced the night away in a centuries-old church?” they noted. The silent disco format also ensures that the music doesn’t disturb the surrounding neighborhood, making it a sustainable and community-friendly option.
With its combination of music, history, and vibrant energy, “God is a DJ” promises to be a highlight of The Hague’s 2025 entertainment calendar. Attendees are encouraged to gather their friends, lace up their dancing shoes, and prepare for a night they won’t soon forget.
