Simi Valley, California – Authorities responded to a reported plane crash in a neighborhood on the afternoon of May 3. The incident occurred around 1:51 p.m. near the 200 block of High Meadow Street, according to reports from the Ventura County Fire Department.

The street runs east from South Wood Ranch Parkway in the Wood Ranch area. Initial reports indicated that a small plane may have impacted two residences.

Police and fire officials received radio traffic that described a hillside on fire, in addition to the plane crash. Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after and confirmed that a plane had crashed into a structure, with smoke visible from the area.

As of 2:15 p.m., officials from both the fire and police departments were on their way to the site of the crash, but they could not provide any further details at that time. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
