SNL Announces December Hosts: Josh O’Connor and Ariana Grande to Lead
New York, NY — NBC‘s Saturday Night Live has announced its December lineup of hosts and musical guests. Josh O'Connor and Ariana Grande will lead the late-night show, alongside Melissa McCarthy, who was revealed during a recent broadcast.
O’Connor, known for his role in Netflix‘s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, will make his hosting debut on December 13. Grande, returning for her third time as host, will take the stage on December 20. Grande has previously been a musical guest on the show and hosted in 2016 and 2024.
On Grande’s episode, she will share the spotlight with music legend Cher, marking her first SNL appearance since 1987. Cher will be promoting her autobiography, The Memoir, during her appearance. Grande is also gearing up for the release of the film Wicked: For Good, which hits theaters on November 21.
O’Connor will be joined by musical guest Lily Allen, who will perform for the second time on SNL. Allen is fresh off the announcement of her fifth album, West End Girl, which discusses her experiences after her marriage to actor David Harbour.
The December 6 episode will feature Melissa McCarthy as host, alongside musical guest Dijon, who will be making his debut on the show. McCarthy, an Emmy Award winner, returns to SNL for her sixth hosting spot.
SNL has been engaging viewers with a range of acts this season, including hosts like Miles Teller and Amy Poehler, with the current season premiering on October 4. New episodes of Saturday Night Live air on Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
