South Florida Braces for Cold Front and Windy Weather

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — South Florida residents should prepare for windy conditions as a cold front approaches the region. Beginning today, winds will start at 15 to 20 mph and could escalate to 25 to 30 mph by the afternoon.
The southwesterly and westerly winds are expected to push temperatures up, reaching 5 to 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. Some inland areas may even see temperatures approaching 90 degrees this afternoon.
Tomorrow, the cold front will move through, bringing an isolated chance for storms. Most areas, however, are only expected to experience a sprinkle or two. Residents are advised to stay updated on changing weather conditions.
Meanwhile, in Corpus Christi, Texas, colder temperatures and low humidity are forecasted for the weekend. Overnight lows will drop into the 50s, with fire danger warnings in effect until 8 p.m. tonight.
Despite the drop in temperature, daytime highs are still expected to reach the low 70s by Sunday. As cooler air moves in, fog is anticipated to form tonight, but increasing winds will help dissipate it.
Cumulatively, the weather system is anticipated to deliver more drier conditions with minimal rain expected this week. Meteorologists recommend staying informed on local forecasts as changing conditions may impact weekend plans.
“With the change in weather pattern, it’s crucial to pay attention to local updates,” a meteorologist advised. “Adjusting plans accordingly will help to ensure safety and comfort during this transition.”
