2025 Ncaa Track Championships Hayward Field

EUGENE, Ore. (June 14, 2025) — Southern California and Texas A&M have co-championed the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field, each finishing the meet with 41 points. This marks the first occurrence of shared titles since 2013, when Florida and Texas A&M both triumphed.

The final men’s event, the 4×400 meter relay, sealed the deal for both teams, entering the race with only Southern California, Texas A&M, and Arkansas remaining in contention for the championship. Southern California scored one point while Texas A&M managed to secure eight points, yielding the shared victory.

“It feels amazing to achieve this as a team, especially with our history of success,” Southern California head coach said. With this victory, the Trojans have ended a nearly five-decade drought, claiming their 26th outdoor title—the most in NCAA men’s history.

Notably, this championship was won without any individual titles, highlighting the depth of talent across events. Texas A&M celebrated their fifth outdoor title and the 10th for head coach Pat Henry, who previously led LSU to multiple NCAA championships.

Throughout the meet, standout performances captured the headlines. Cierra Jackson of Fresno State notched a meet-record throw of 65.82 meters in the discus to secure her title.

As for women’s events, Georgia led all teams with 26 points after Day 2, showcasing their strength in field events. This extensive competition will conclude with crowning 14 DI women’s event champions and a women’s team champion soon.

The championships continue today with the highlight of crowning new champions across both men’s and women’s events, showcasing the nation’s best athletes on this prestigious stage.
