Spotify App Features Update Announcement

Stockholm, Sweden – Spotify is rolling out new features designed to enhance music discovery and personalize listening experiences for users. Starting today, the platform will gradually introduce a suite of tools that gives users more control over their music journey.

The updates particularly benefit Premium users, who will find an upgraded Queue section at the bottom of their Now Playing view. The redesigned interface now includes essential controls such as Shuffle and Repeat, making it easier to organize playlists. Users can also see recommendations for songs that follow their queued tracks, allowing them to tailor their experience even further.

For those who prefer to stick with their own selections, Spotify has added options to disable Autoplay and Smart Shuffle in settings, giving users full control over their listening sessions.

Additionally, users can now utilize an updated Hide button and a new Snooze feature. The refreshed Hide button allows users to hide tracks from playlists effortlessly, and the Snooze feature lets users temporarily remove songs from their recommendations for 30 days, allowing for a fresh listening experience.

Spotify is also introducing new mobile playlist management tools. Users can access options to Add, Sort, and Edit their playlists from the top of each playlist. Premium users in several countries, including the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., can now create playlists from their Liked Songs by filtering by genre.

New features for creating and collaborating on playlists are also being introduced. By tapping the Create button in the mobile app, users can collaborate with friends and create playlists that reflect their tastes. Furthermore, mobile Premium users will have access to real-time listening with friends and the AI Playlist feature, enhancing communal listening experiences.

Finally, the Your Library section remains accessible, now slightly repositioned at the bottom of the app for easy navigation. As Spotify aims to simplify access to its music curation tools, the company looks forward to helping users dive deeper into their musical passions.
