Poker Face Season 2 Guest Stars

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19, 2025 — The cast of the Emmy-winning series Poker Face is set to expand dramatically for its upcoming second season, with a number of notable guest stars announced today. Jason Ritter, Alia Shawkat, Carol Kane, David Krumholtz, and Melanie Lynskey will join the already impressive roster that includes stars like Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, and Kumail Nanjiani.

Created by Rian Johnson, Poker Face follows the character Charlie Cale, portrayed by Natasha Lyonne, who possesses a remarkable ability to detect lies. As she travels across the United States in her Plymouth Barracuda, Charlie encounters a myriad of eccentric characters and bizarre crimes that she inevitably solves.

Season 1 premiered on Peacock in 2023 and garnered several accolades, including four Primetime Emmy nominations. The series won its first Emmy for Judith Light’s performance as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Showrunner Tony Tost leads the executive production team for Season 2, alongside Johnson, Lyonne, and several others.

The addition of Ritter, known for roles in Kevin (Probably) Saves The World, and Shawkat, famous for her work in Arrested Development, suggests that Season 2 will continue to attract influential talent across the entertainment industry.

“It’s always thrilling to see how these established actors can redefine their roles in unexpected ways,” said a source close to the production. “The unique stories within each episode allow them to showcase their diversity as performers.”

Previous guest stars have included Adrien Brody and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, revealing their characters’ complex narratives right from the start, which seamlessly intertwine with Charlie’s investigative journey. The introduction of additional guest stars like Kane and Krumholtz is anticipated to add fresh intrigue and additional layers to the show’s already captivating storyline.

Season 2 promises to delve deeper into character dynamics, with fresh mysteries for Charlie to uncover, while continuing to showcase the talents of established actors in surprising new roles. The first season’s success set a high standard, but expectations are high that Season 2 will elevate the series even further.

Poker Face’s second season is set to premiere later in 2025 on Peacock, with an exact release date yet to be announced.
