Stars Shine at ‘Sinners’ Photo Call in Mexico City

MEXICO CITY, Mexico — The stars of the upcoming film “Sinners” kicked off their global press tour with a vibrant photo call in Mexico City on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The cast, including lead actor Michael B. Jordan, co-stars Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku, gathered to promote the film ahead of its scheduled release on April 18.
During the event, the cast was seen wearing stylish attire, including Jordan in Prada, Steinfeld in a dress by The New Arrivals paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and Anita Ko jewelry, while Mosaku sported a look from Harbison Studio with Alexandre Birman shoes. Jordan shared a group selfie on social media, captioning it, “Annie, Mary, Smoke, Stack and Sammie have arrived in Mexico 🇲🇽 #SinnersMovie.”
The plot of “Sinners” revolves around twin brothers who return to their troubled hometown in hopes of starting anew. However, they soon discover that a malevolent force is awaiting their arrival. In addition to Jordan and Steinfeld, the film features actors Jack O'Connell, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, Li Jun Li, Lola Kirke, Yao, Miles Caton, Peter Dreimanis, and Delroy Lindo.
Michael B. Jordan expressed excitement about the film and its themes, stating, “It’s a poignant story that delves into the struggles of attempting to escape one’s past while confronting lurking threats. I hope audiences connect with the characters on a personal level.”
Writer and director Ryan Coogler discussed the film’s emotional depth on Shannon Sharpe’s Nightcap podcast, highlighting the twins’ journey. “These characters represent the fight many face when trying to break free from their histories while dealing with the realities of life,” Coogler said. “Their story is one of resilience in the face of darkness.”
Coogler, known for his work on the praised projects including “Black Panther” and “Creed,” confirmed that the film had a collaborative production effort alongside Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Notably, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Goransson, who previously collaborated with Coogler, is serving as executive producer for “Sinners.”nThe film’s premiere in India is set for April 18, 2025, building anticipation among audiences eager to witness the exciting drama unfold.
