Warriors Grizzlies Nba Game April 1 2025

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Stephen Curry scored 52 points, including 12 three-pointers, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 134-125 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night. This win allowed the Warriors to climb into fifth place in the Western Conference.

Curry shot 16 of 31 from the field and successfully made 12 of his 20 attempts from beyond the arc, matching his season high for three-pointers made in a game. The Warriors improved their record to 44-31 with the win on their road trip.

“I just got into a rhythm,” Curry said. “My teammates found me in the right spots and I was able to finish.” Jimmy Butler supported Curry’s effort with 27 points, while Draymond Green tallied 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.

For Memphis, Ja Morant led the team with 36 points and six assists. Desmond Bane added 22 points, but the Grizzlies struggled, suffering their third consecutive defeat, dropping to 44-32 on the season.

The game featured an intense first half, with Curry scoring 32 points, shooting 11 of 16 overall and landing 8 of 10 from three-point range. After one of his last three-pointers of the half, Warriors coach Steve Kerr expressed disbelief at Curry’s performance, shaking his head in amazement.

A crucial moment came when the Warriors were clinging to a narrow lead. With 1:13 left, Curry missed a three-pointer, but quickly tipped in the rebound to give Golden State a 127-122 edge. This stretch proved pivotal as Memphis continued to struggle defensively.

The win not only helped the Warriors in the standings but also continued a positive trend during their recent road trip, as they improved to 3-2 while traveling. “Every win counts at this stage of the season; we’re fighting for playoff positioning,” Curry noted.

Looking ahead, the Warriors will conclude their six-game road trip on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, while the Grizzlies embark on a three-game road trip against Eastern Conference teams, starting in Miami on the same day.
