Street Fighter 6 Releases 12.02.2024 Update: Patch Notes and New Event Details

Capcom has unveiled the patch notes for the December 2, 2024, update of *Street Fighter 6*. This latest patch, although not as extensive as the previous Akuma update, includes several significant changes and improvements to the game.

The update features balance adjustments for all characters, which aims to refine gameplay and address player feedback. Additionally, there are changes to normal throws and perfect parries, enhancing the overall combat mechanics.

Several bug fixes are also included in this patch, ensuring a smoother gaming experience for players. These fixes are part of Capcom’s ongoing effort to maintain and improve the game’s stability and performance.

In addition to the patch updates, a new event titled “Giant Attack” will be available in the Battle Hub from December 2 to December 16. During this event, players will work together to defeat a Giant Bison. By defeating SiRN Bison on the cabinets, players will accumulate energy to use Hadokens, and upon progressing far enough in the event, they will earn a new outfit color for Bison.

The game has also seen significant commercial success, with Capcom announcing that *Street Fighter 6* has sold over 4 million units globally. The company expressed gratitude to all players for contributing to this milestone and promised continued support with more content and events in the future.

*Street Fighter 6*, which initially released on June 2, 2023, is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. The game has received several DLC characters and has a second season pass planned, which includes characters like Mai from the *King of Fighters* series and Elena from *Street Fighter: 3rd Strike* and *Street Fighter IV*.
