Suge Knight Alleges Snoop Dogg’s Role in Tupac’s Murder

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Suge Knight, the co-founder of Death Row Records, has made shocking allegations regarding the untimely deaths of iconic hip-hop artists Tupac Shakur and Whitney Houston. In a prison interview aired on “The Art of Dialogue,” Knight claimed that Ray J informed him of Snoop Dogg‘s involvement in the shooting of Tupac.
During the interview, which took place over a prison phone call, Knight remarked, “In phone calls you brag about how Snoop Dogg told you that he is part of the people who put bread to kill Pac.’ He emphasized his disdain for Snoop’s actions, stating, “So Snoop was involved in killing hip-hop’s best all-time artist.”
Furthermore, Knight addressed allegations concerning his connection to the death of TLC‘s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, categorically denying any involvement. “When it comes to the part where you talk about Left Eye had a problem and she died because of me, that’s a lie,” he asserted.
Knight also leveled accusations at Ray J, whom he referred to as “Brandy‘s little brother,” insinuating that he may have played a role in Houston’s death. He stated, “She wouldn’t even say your name. She just used the term that Brandy’s little brother bringing me drugs and doing drugs with me… Next thing you know, she’s dead.”
In his sweeping remarks, Knight added that Ray J allegedly confessed to him regarding Snoop’s admission of participation in Tupac’s murder. “You brag about how Snoop tell you… he’s a part of the people who put bread to kill Pac. That’s why I say don’t mention 2Pac’s name in none of your interviews,” Knight reiterated.
As the conversation progressed, Suge Knight claimed that Ray J exploited Houston’s demise to boost ratings for his reality show. He stated, “To get your ratings to go up for Love & Hip Hop or whatever the fuck that is, talk about that. That alone speaks volumes.”
This is not the only ongoing legal battle tied to Tupac’s murder. Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the man accused of orchestrating Tupac’s murder, is currently seeking to delay his trial with new evidence that he claims could prove his innocence. In court documents filed on February 14, 2025, Davis’s legal team requested a postponement of his March 2025 trial, citing new testimony that he was not present in Las Vegas at the time of Tupac’s shooting.
“This case involves decades-old allegations, and with every new piece of evidence, it becomes increasingly clear that critical facts have yet to be fully examined,” the court document reads. Davis has been in custody since September 2023 and has been vocal about the events surrounding Tupac’s murder.
In his statements, Knight warned Ray J against speaking publicly about him or the hip-hop icons they were associated with, reinforcing the delicate nature of their past interactions. As the two figures—Knight and Davis—remain embroiled in their own controversies, the mysteries surrounding the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Whitney Houston continue to ignite passionate discussions within the music community.
