Gal Gadot Rachel Zegler Snow White Promotional Event

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Tensions reportedly exist between co-stars Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler as they promote the upcoming Disney film “Snow White.” Sources connected to the actors claim their differences, particularly in age and political views, are contributing to the strain.

The friction surfaced Friday when a source revealed that Gadot, 39, believes she and Zegler, 23, “have nothing in common.” Another insider pointed out their “huge age gap” and conflicting political perspectives, describing these differences as “adding to the tension.” Zegler has been an outspoken advocate for Palestine, often voicing her support on social media.

Following the trailer’s release in August, Zegler expressed her gratitude for the reception, stating, “I love you all so much! Thank you for the love and for 120 million views on our trailer in just 24 hours! What a whirlwind… and always remember, free Palestine.” In contrast, Gadot, who served in the Israeli army, took to Instagram to advocate for Israel, saying, “I stand with Israel, you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!”

As the political climate escalates, the two actresses’ differing beliefs have reportedly led to tensions on set. A movie insider indicated that Disney executives reached out to Zegler, requesting her to tone down her political posts, a request she has reportedly ignored.

Zegler has also criticized the original Disney version of “Snow White,” calling the character’s love story “weird” given that it involves a stalker. “I was scared of the original version. I think I watched it once and never picked it up again,” she shared in 2022, which has fueled criticism against the new film for being too ‘woke.’

According to a source from People, Gadot is “annoyed” by the promotion drama surrounding their film. While she enjoyed filming and was cooperative with Zegler, the source confirmed they were never friends, emphasizing, “They did a job together, and that’s it.” Gadot was absent from Zegler’s performance in Spain, where the actress sang “Waiting on a Wish” at Alcázar de Segovia, with a source clarifying that Gadot was in New York for press duties.

The two actresses are expected to reunite this weekend for a promotional event, although it has been reported that media attendance will be limited. According to Variety, only photographers and a crew will be permitted on the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre on Saturday.

Representatives for Gadot and Zegler did not respond to requests for comment at the time of publication.
