CINCINNATI, Ohio – Former Home Run Derby champion Todd Frazier made an exciting return to Great American Ball Park on Friday night as he suited up for the Savannah Bananas. Frazier stepped to the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning, receiving a warm standing ovation from the fans before grounding out.

Frazier, who spent his first five seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, recorded two All-Star appearances and hit 108 home runs during his time in Cincinnati. One of his most memorable moments came during the 2015 Home Run Derby held in Cincinnati, where he thrilled the home crowd by winning the event in front of a packed stadium.

The Bananas faced off against the Texas Tailgaters on Friday and Saturday nights. The team plays a unique version of baseball called Banana Ball, which has distinct rules. Each inning is worth one point, and whichever team wins that inning earns a point. Only in the final inning does every run count toward the final score.

The atmosphere was electrifying as fans celebrated Frazier’s return, reminiscing about his contributions to the Reds.
