Tom Brady Celebrates CardVault Opening, Remembers Epic Super Bowl Comeback

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Tom Brady celebrated the grand opening of his trading card store, CardVault by Tom Brady, at the American Dream shopping complex on Friday night. Fans clad in New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers gear filled the venue to demonstrate their support for the NFL legend.
The store, which focuses on rare and premium trading cards, aims to create a community for collectors. Brady noted the importance of building connections among fans in the digital age.
“Everything in life ebbs and flows but I think we’re in a great time and certainly in the digital age where people can share everything they have,” Brady told FOX Business. He expressed enthusiasm for the growing community of collectors. “People breaking cards and packs and it’s a great part of everybody’s experience with this particular hobby,” he added.
Brady was joined by CardVault co-founder Chris Costa for a quick Q&A session. They discussed their passion for sports and the significance of card collecting. Costa shared practical advice with aspiring collectors: “Always collect what you like. Don’t chase who you think is going to be worth more money.”
Brady went on to demonstrate his famed passing skills by throwing footballs into the crowd, igniting excitement among fans eager to catch a throw from the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
During the event, he reminisced about his favorite trading cards, including a dual autograph card featuring the legendary San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and a group card showcasing former teammates Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, and Wes Welker.
“Joe Montana was the team to beat in the NFL,” Brady said, describing how Montana inspired his love for football. “He set the tone every single day for what greatness really looks like.”
Brady also reflected on the memorable Super Bowl LI comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, where his team rallied from a 28-3 deficit to secure victory. “It was pretty rough being down 28-3,” he recalled. “But I had a group of teammates that never quit.”
Fans at the event clamored for one last chance to interact with the NFL icon before the night ended. Brady expressed a desire to expand CardVault, aiming to open more locations beyond Boston in the future.
“It’s close to our stores in Boston,” Brady said. “We want to grow it to the best possible business we can.”
Brady’s new venture marks a significant return to New Jersey, a place he rarely heard cheers during his NFL career. His presence at the American Dream reflects a new chapter, one focused on community and shared passion for sports and collectibles.
