Tom Hardy Venom Spider Man Crossover

LOS ANGELES, CA — Tom Hardy, celebrated for his intense roles, shares a lighter side as he reflects on his time playing Eddie Brock/Venom in Sony‘s cinematic universe. In an interview, Hardy discussed his final installment, ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ and what could have been with a Spider-Man crossover.

Hardy revealed his children’s disappointment with the lack of a crossover between Venom and Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man. During a chat with host Mike DeAngelo, he noted the same question posed by his kids: “Why didn’t Venom and Spider-Man ever get to interact?” Hardy acknowledged that there were discussions about a possible collaboration and suggested studio politics hindered it.

“We got as close as I could possibly imagine getting,” Hardy said, expressing his desire for the project. “I would have loved to have done it because that just means so much fun.” He emphasized the importance of making films that resonate with younger audiences, noting that his children remind him just how significant these characters are to them. “Fundamentally, for me, it would be for the kids,” Hardy added.

Despite the challenges that come with working on blockbuster films, Hardy described his experience with Sony as a privilege. “We were given a set of boundaries, and we really focused on what we were allowed to do with Venom,” he stated, underscoring the passion he and his team poured into the character. “The enjoyment of the work outweighed the limits of our possibilities.”

More details regarding Hardy’s latest project, the crime drama series ‘MobLand,’ are expected to be released soon, as fans eagerly await the interview continuation.
