Tom Segura Brings ‘Come Together’ Tour to Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Comedian Tom Segura is set to bring his “Come Together” tour to the Enmarket Arena on Jan. 31, 2025. Known for his five Netflix stand-up specials, including the recent “Sledgehammer,” Segura promises a night of laughter and outrageous stories.
“If you’ve ever seen a special of mine,” Segura said, “I talk about what’s going on in my life. I do some general observations. I make fun of things. I make fun of myself. I tell some pretty outrageous stories that probably aren’t appropriate for this outlet. They’ll all be live and there’s nothing like live shows.”
Segura, who has over two million followers on TikTok, discussed the impact of social media on comedy during a recent interview. “Comedy is broader and more consumed in different mediums than ever before,” he said. “We’ve never seen anything like this. So anybody can grab a phone and upload any type of video, and it’s good in that the truly talented will stand out.”
He also touched on the challenges of navigating feedback and criticism in the comedy world. “The thing that most comedians probably listen to the most when it comes to feedback or criticism is usually if it’s from another comedian,” Segura explained. “You’ll never please everybody. There’s this thing you learn about doing stand-up, there’s the idea that you’re going to make everybody happy, or make everybody laugh. It’s not real, it doesn’t matter who you talk about.”
Segura’s tour has already made stops in cities like Las Vegas, where he performed at the Dolby Live amphitheater on Sept. 7, 2024. His unique blend of personal anecdotes and sharp observations continues to draw large crowds, making his live shows a must-see event for comedy fans.
