Toronto Maple Leafs Sign Jacob Quillan to Entry-Level Contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially inked a deal with the talented forward Jacob Quillan from Quinnipiac University.

Announced by the team on Monday, Quillan, hailing from Dartmouth, N.S., has agreed to a two-year entry-level contract with the Leafs. The contract, commencing from the 2024-25 season, carries an annual average value of US$875,000.

Throughout this season, Quillan boasted impressive stats with 17 goals and 29 assists in just 39 games for Quinnipiac. His performance led to him being recognized as the best defensive forward in the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Standing at six-foot and weighing 201 pounds, Quillan has accumulated a noteworthy record of 38 goals and 55 assists across his 116-game NCAA career.

In a standout moment, Quillan netted the winning goal in overtime that secured the NCAA championship for Quinnipiac in 2023. Additionally, his exceptional performance led to him being named the most outstanding player in the Frozen Four that season.
