The Toronto Raptors kicked off their Summer League campaign with an impressive performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder, securing a convincing wire-to-wire victory. Despite facing some shooting inconsistencies, the Raptors showcased their defensive prowess, rebounding dominance, and excellent ball movement throughout the game.

In a starting lineup featuring Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, Ja’Kobe Walter, Branden Carlson, and Jamal Shead, the Raptors came out strong from the tip-off and displayed a high level of cohesion. The team’s relentless defense, efficient rebounding, and fluid passing game set the tone for the match.

Early in the game, the Raptors established a commanding lead, forcing the Thunder to call a timeout after a 10-1 start. Toronto’s defensive intensity and ability to force turnovers and secure rebounds proved to be key factors in their early success, ending the first quarter with a substantial 30-10 lead.

Throughout the second quarter, the Raptors continued to dominate the glass and out-hustle the Thunder on both ends of the court. With a deep rotation and solid contributions from multiple players, Toronto maintained their lead and headed into halftime with a comfortable advantage.

As the third quarter commenced, Oklahoma City showed signs of improvement, displaying better organization and intensity on both ends of the court. While the Thunder managed to reduce the deficit, the Raptors remained composed and retained a double-digit lead heading into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, Oklahoma City attempted to ramp up their defensive pressure and mount a comeback, but the Raptors held firm and ultimately closed out the game with a commanding 25-point victory. Brandon Carlson, Gradey Dick, and Jamison Battle were among the standout performers for Toronto, showcasing solid performances on both ends of the floor.

Looking ahead, the Raptors will face the Denver Nuggets in their next Summer League matchup, providing another opportunity for the team to build on their strong start and continue their development heading into the upcoming season.
