2025 Nfl Scouting Combine Prospects Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — As teams gear up for the 2025 NFL season, the NFL Scouting Combine is upon us, showcasing top prospects for the upcoming draft. With the combine set to kick off this week, CBSSports.com has released updated prospect rankings featuring standout names like Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter.

Travis Hunter, a two-way player from Colorado, tops the list as the premier cornerback and possibly the best player in the draft. Close behind him is Abdul Carter from Penn State, regarded as a top-tier edge rusher. The rankings reflect the potential impact these players could have in the league starting next season.

“Travis is a generational talent; he can dominate at either cornerback or wide receiver,” said an NFL scout. “And Abdul is no slouch—his physical presence on the field can be game-changing.”

The list also highlights a strong quarterback class led by Cam Ward from Miami, ranked eighth overall, and Shedeur Sanders from Colorado at 24th. Notably, there’s only one running back, Ashton Jeanty from Boise State, making waves in the top 25.

Nine prospects in the top 25 hail from the SEC, reaffirming the conference’s reputation for developing elite NFL talent. This year’s class includes a blend of defensive linemen, edge rushers, and wide receivers, contributing to a competitive draft outlook.

The NFL Scouting Combine begins on February 27, wrapping up March 2, and will feature drills and evaluations at Lucas Oil Stadium. As players like Abdul Carter prepare for the spotlight, the stakes are high for those looking to make a name for themselves. According to Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, “Abdul is focused on doing well at his Pro Day and is optimistic about his health.”

As the combine approaches, several players have voiced their strategies on participation, with some opting to hold off key performances until their respective Pro Days. This approach allows players to showcase their talents in front of teams in a more familiar setting.

CBS Sports Prospect rankings indicate that with only three quarterbacks in the top 100, teams in need of quarterback talent may need to look deeper into the draft. “There’s a chance players could rise significantly based on their performance in Indy,” noted sports analyst Dane Brugler. “Expect surprises, and movement in the rankings as evaluations are made.”

The 2025 NFL Draft will be held from April 24-26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. For additional updates and timings for each position’s showcase, fans can visit CBSSports.com for detailed coverage.
