Trump Comments on Potential Pardon for Diddy Amid Ongoing Trial

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he would “look at the facts” regarding a potential pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently on trial in New York facing serious charges including racketeering and sex trafficking.
During a press conference at the Oval Office, Trump acknowledged that he has not closely followed the ongoing trial and has not spoken to Combs in years. He mentioned, “I haven’t seen him, I haven’t spoken to him in years. He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, that relationship busted up.”
Trump’s remarks come as Combs’ trial enters its third week, with testimonies from alleged victims detailing severe accusations against the music mogul. Combs, who has denied all charges, could face life in prison if convicted.
On the trial’s proceedings, one witness testified under a pseudonym, stating that Combs sexually assaulted her during his birthday celebrations. Other testimonies included allegations of domestic violence made by former partner Cassie Ventura, who claimed that Combs would often engage in violent arguments.
As the trial continues, Combs’ legal team has voiced confidence in their defense, asserting his innocence and challenging the credibility of the allegations. Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said, “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
Trump’s consideration of a pardon underscores the intersection of high-profile celebrity trials and political implications. As his administration has previously granted clemency to various figures, the potential for a decision regarding Combs remains uncertain, pending further developments in the courtroom.
