Trump Greene Feud Epstein Files

Washington, D.C. — A public feud between former President Donald Trump and Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has escalated, signaling a rift between the former president and one of his closest allies. The spat began on Friday when Trump referred to Greene as “wacky” and called for her removal from office during the 2024 elections.

Trump intensified his criticism on Saturday, labeling Greene a “traitor” amid her questioning of his commitment to the “America First” agenda and calling out his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Greene, who previously defended Trump during controversies, is now at odds with him over the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the House is set to vote on soon.

The bill aims to force the Department of Justice to release all unclassified documents related to Epstein, a convicted sex offender who was a former associate of Trump. House Speaker Mike Johnson indicated the vote might occur as early as this week.

In a series of social media posts, Trump criticized Greene’s complaints and claimed she had become upset with him for not returning her calls. “I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day,” he wrote, also pledging to support any Republican challenger against her during her upcoming reelection.

Greene’s recent remarks highlight her dissatisfaction with Trump’s economic policies and foreign decisions. She expressed her concerns over his approach to the Epstein files, declaring that Trump seems determined to prevent their release.

“He’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next week’s vote to release the Epstein files,” Greene posted on X, formerly Twitter, referring to Trump’s attempts to influence party members against supporting the bill.

Following Trump’s comments, Greene described his aggression as shocking. “As a Republican, who overwhelmingly votes for President Trump’s bills and agenda, his aggression against me is shocking to everyone,” she stated. She also reaffirmed her dedication to her constituents and personal beliefs, noting, “I worship God, Jesus is my savior.”

Political analyst Robert Moran noted that Trump appears to be pressuring Greene to align with his desires regarding the Epstein files. He posited that this feud would not likely sway Trump’s core supporters, who generally demand accountability from those in power.

Trump has faced bipartisan criticism over his past association with Epstein and his reluctance to release documents pertaining to the case. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
