Trump to Speak on ‘No Tax on Tips’ in Las Vegas Visit
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Former President Donald Trump will visit Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, marking his first trip to Nevada since his re-election in 2024. Trump is scheduled to speak on his ‘No Tax on Tips’ initiative, a key campaign promise he emphasized during his previous visits to the state.
Doors for the event will open at 9:30 a.m., with Trump expected to deliver his remarks at 12:30 p.m. Approximately 2,000 attendees are anticipated at the Galaxy meeting room on the casino’s third floor. The event is being hosted by the Nevada GOP, with Governor Joe Lombardo and Nevada GOP Chairman Michael J. McDonald set to welcome the former president.
Trump’s visit comes after Nevada played a pivotal role in his 2024 re-election campaign, flipping to the Republican column for the first time in decades. His ‘No Tax on Tips’ proposal, which aims to eliminate federal taxes on tipped income, has been a recurring theme in his speeches, particularly in states with significant service industry workforces like Nevada.
‘This is a policy that directly benefits working-class Americans, especially those in the hospitality industry,’ said a senior advisor to the Nevada GOP Chairman. ‘President Trump has always been a champion for the hardworking men and women of this country.’
Security measures for the event are expected to be tight, with local law enforcement coordinating with the Secret Service to ensure safety. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to anticipated crowds and enhanced security screenings.
Trump’s visit underscores his continued influence in Republican politics and his focus on key battleground states ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Nevada, with its diverse electorate and growing population, remains a critical state for both major political parties.
