Twitch Star Kai Cenat Faces Backlash Over Bathroom Incident with Minor

NEW YORK, March 13, 2025 — Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is facing strong criticism following the release of a controversial video involving his 16-year-old friend, RaKai. The 28-second clip went viral on X social media platform on March 12, drawing both condemnation and support from users.
In the video, Cenat, 23, is seen knocking on the bathroom door where RaKai was spending time. Despite being told by RaKai, “N***a, I’m taking a s**t!” Cenat’s associate opened the door, revealing RaKai in a compromised state. Cenat proceeded to grab RaKai’s phone and show it to the camera, igniting outrage among viewers.
Online reactions have varied significantly. User @Jiz remarked, “Why did Kai Cenat do this?? This is actually disgusting. I hope Nike & Twitch see this also Rakai’s mother needs to take him away from them.” Furthermore, another concerned community member expressed that the incident teaches young viewers that it’s acceptable to intrude on someone in a bathroom, stating, “They are three grown men forcibly walking in on a 16-year-old.”
Others referenced past incidents involving Twitch bans, with user @abusejuicex stating, “Didn’t Dr DisRespect get banned for doing this exact thing but in a public bathroom?”
Conversely, some members of the online community defended Cenat’s actions as typical among friends. One user claimed, “This normal bro this big brother shi.” Another added, “This reg ny s**t stop trynna cancel my son Kai lol.”
This incident follows Cenat’s previous remarks during a Twitch livestream on February 28, 2025, where he expressed his lack of understanding regarding the popularity of Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie, labeling his opinion as “an L take.”
As of this writing, Cenat has not publicly addressed the backlash from the bathroom incident, and his Twitch channel remains active.
