Two New York Powerball Tickets Win $50,000 Prizes

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two winning Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in New York state, according to lottery officials. The New York Lottery announced the third-prize tickets were sold on April 21.
One winning ticket was sold at Metro Mart NY, located at 2655 Richmond Ave., in New Springville. The second winning ticket was sold at Haras, situated at 160 North Central Ave., in Elmsford, which is part of Valley Stream on Long Island.
The winning Powerball numbers for that particular drawing were 04, 33, 45, 46, 51, and Powerball 25. To win the Powerball jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order along with the red Powerball number.
Powerball tickets can be purchased for $2 at any New York Lottery retailer seven days a week, with the deadline for ticket purchase being 10 p.m. on draw nights. Drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m. The New York Lottery encourages players to buy tickets early to avoid long lines.
