Tyrese Maxey Basketball Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Tyrese Maxey has been recognized as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for his outstanding performance during the second week of the 2025-26 NBA season, the league announced on Monday.

In four games from October 27 to November 2, Maxey averaged 33.5 points, 9.8 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game. His contributions helped lead the Philadelphia 76ers to three wins during that stretch, bringing their record to an impressive 5-1 at the start of the season.

Maxey, a six-year guard, has emerged as a key player for the Sixers. He is currently ranked third in the NBA in scoring, averaging 33.7 points per game, and is also contributing significantly with an average of 9.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds. In addition, he holds a remarkable shooting percentage of 46.4% from three-point range.

This honor marks Maxey’s first Player of the Week award of the season. Last week, he and teammate VJ Edgecombe were both nominated, but the award went to Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Maxey and the Sixers will look to continue their strong start on Tuesday night, facing off against the Chicago Bulls, who also hold a 5-1 record. This matchup will be the first meeting between the two teams this season, with both vying for a position at the top of the conference.
