Ufl Football April 2025 Matchups

ARLINGTON, TX – April 10, 2025 – The United Football League enters Week Three of its 2025 season with critical matchups and playoff implications on the horizon. This weekend, two undefeated teams will face off in St. Louis, while two struggling squads seek their first wins of the season.

The action kicks off on Friday at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, AL, as the defending champion Birmingham Stallions (1-1) host the undefeated Arlington Renegades (2-0) at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. The Stallions aim to regain their championship form after a shaky start, while the Renegades strive to continue their winning streak.

Renegades’ quarterback Luis Perez has been a key factor in their success, supported by a robust defense. “We feel confident going into Saturday, we are clicking on both sides of the ball,” said Perez. The Stallions, however, are riding the momentum of their previous victory and are determined to establish dominance at home.

Among the standout players, Kalen Ballage, a running back for Arlington, leads the league in rushing yards with 148 yards over two games. “I just focus on executing the plays called,” Ballage noted. On the other side, linebacker Kyahva Tezino has made a significant impact for Birmingham, leading the team in tackles.

The excitement continues into Saturday when the winless Houston Roughnecks (0-2) face the Memphis Showboats (0-2) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, TN at 2:30 PM ET on ESPN. Both teams are desperate for a victory to turn their seasons around.

Houston’s offense has struggled mightily, ranking last in scoring. Coach C.J. Johnson acknowledged, “We need to execute better in all phases of the game.” Meanwhile, Memphis has shown flashes of potential but lacks consistency. “It’s critical that we find our rhythm,” said Memphis quarterback E.J. Perry, who is under pressure to perform efficiently as the season progresses.

Sunday features two more matchups, highlighted by the San Antonio Brahmas (0-2) against the Michigan Panthers (1-1) at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. Also, two undefeated teams, the DC Defenders (2-0) and St. Louis Battlehawks (2-0) will clash at The Dome at America’s Center at 3:00 PM ET on ABC.

The Brahmas are seeking redemption after a slow start, while the Panthers hope to leverage their home-field advantage. San Antonio’s running back Anthony McFarland leads the league with 353 all-purpose yards, emphasizing his importance in their offensive strategy.

In the marquee matchup on Sunday, the Defenders and Battlehawks promise an intense showdown. DC quarterback Jordan Ta’amau has thrown for 363 yards, proving pivotal in his team’s strategy. Conversely, St. Louis running back Jacob Saylors is coming off a remarkable performance, scoring three rushing touchdowns in their last game.

With the excitement of undefeated teams colliding and winless teams desperate to change their fortunes, this weekend’s matchups promise to deliver high-stakes drama. Fans can follow all the action live across various platforms including FOX, ABC, and ESPN.
