DETROIT, Mich. — The University of Michigan Athletics and Learfield‘s Michigan Sports Properties, in collaboration with Beasley Media Group Detroit, announced on April 16, 2025, a multi-year broadcast agreement that designates 94.7 WCSX-FM as the new flagship radio home for Michigan Wolverines sports. This partnership will commence with the 2025 Michigan football season, bringing live coverage of football, men’s basketball, and ice hockey games to fans.

As part of the agreement, 94.7 WCSX-FM will air all football, men’s basketball, and ice hockey contests, along with coaches’ shows and additional programming for fans. Similarly, 105.1 The Bounce (WMGC-FM) will broadcast select women’s basketball regular-season games and postseason matchups, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the athletics program.

The new partnership not only enhances game coverage but also establishes a strong digital presence via Beasley Media Detroit’s platforms, offering listeners exclusive interviews, weekly features, and digital content. “When it comes to college athletics, no brand is bigger and no fan base is more passionate than the University of Michigan,” said Kevin Rich, Vice President of Operations at Beasley Media Group. “We’re thrilled to partner with the University and Michigan Sports Properties to deliver exceptional programming and play-by-play coverage to fans across Southeast Michigan. Go Blue!”

Patti Taylor, Vice President and Market Manager of Beasley Media Group Detroit, emphasized the significance of uniting WCSX’s heritage with Michigan Athletics. “Michigan Athletics has a long and storied tradition, just like WCSX, a heritage station with deep roots across Southeastern Michigan,” Taylor stated. “We’re proud to unite these two legacies and continue delivering Michigan Athletics to passionate fans across the region on our platforms.”

Jennifer Cadicamo, Vice President and General Manager of Michigan Sports Properties, highlighted the groundbreaking nature of this deal for fans. “We’re thrilled to begin this new partnership with Beasley Media Group. For the first time in the Detroit market, Michigan fans can hear live coverage of all football, basketball, and hockey on a regional FM signal with 94.7 WCSX,” Cadicamo noted. She also confirmed that Jon Jansen and Doug Karsch will continue as the voices of Michigan’s football radio broadcasts.

Michigan Sports Properties operates under Learfield, which is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Michigan Athletics and manages its relationship with Beasley Media Group. Doug Gnodtke, Michigan’s Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director and Chief of Staff, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “Partnering with Beasley Media Group as our new flagship radio station marks an exciting chapter for our athletics department,” Gnodtke said. “This partnership will not only amplify the voices of our student-athletes and coaches but will also strengthen our connection with fans and alumni in metro Detroit and across Michigan.”

Since its inception, Michigan Athletics has established itself as one of the nation’s leading collegiate athletic programs, with a proud history dating back to 1866. The Wolverines have garnered 58 national team championships and are recognized for their excellence both on the field and in academia.
