Urban Meyer, the former Ohio State football coach and current sportscaster, has weighed in on the Buckeyes’ current offensive line situation following the season-ending injury to Seth McLaughlin. Meyer, who has extensive experience managing injuries to key players, believes that while the situation is challenging, it is not as dire as it seems. He recalled the 2014 season when Ohio State lost quarterbacks Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett to injuries, yet the team still managed to win the national title under third-string quarterback Cardale Jones.

Meyer noted that the Buckeyes have players who have experience in different positions on the offensive line. For instance, a player who has played a lot of center has been moved back to that position, and another player who started the first two games at left guard will return to that role. However, Meyer emphasized that Ohio State cannot afford to lose any more players on the offensive line.

As Ohio State prepares to face No. 5 Indiana at Ohio Stadium, Meyer praised the Hoosiers for their impressive 10-0 start to the season. Despite Indiana’s roster lacking the high school recruiting stars that Ohio State boasts, Meyer described the Hoosiers as a “really, really good team” based on their performance on videotape. He cautioned that the Buckeyes should not take Indiana lightly, even with their clear talent advantage on paper.

Meyer will be at Ohio State on Saturday with the FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff crew for the pregame show and will return the following week for the rivalry game against Michigan. He highlighted the significance of The Game between Ohio State and Michigan, emphasizing the immense respect between the two teams regardless of their current records.

Meyer stressed that Ohio State needs to focus on the immediate task of beating Indiana rather than looking ahead to potential future games, including the Big Ten Championship Game. “There’s zero conversation about that right now. It’s trying to get a first down on offense and stop them on defense,” he said).
